Strategic Brands. Practical Design.

HELPING BUSINESSES BUILD BRANDS FOR WHAT’S NEXT.

Great design isn’t just about looking good—it should help move your business forward. Your brand should make marketing easier, attract the right people, and feel like a natural extension of the business you’ve built.

That’s where I come in. Through a strategic, collaborative process, I create thoughtful brand systems that feel right, work beautifully in the real world, and are built to grow with your business.

my approach

Built for where your business is going next.

Every design decision is backed by strategy and grounded in how your brand will actually be used. The goal is a distinctive, cohesive system that reflects your business today and gives you room to grow, expand, and evolve.

Why I do what I do

Jill Lawlor | Founder & Lead designer

Design has always been more than just a career path for me—it’s a calling. I started with a degree in Visual Communication from Ferris State University, where I learned how to blend design with business and marketing. After four years as a lead designer at a community relations firm, I earned my MBA at Wayne State University to deepen my understanding of the strategy behind great design. I even spent some time in the front office with the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs, working in sales and community affairs. It was a dream detour—fun, unexpected, and totally worth it.

My passion for supporting small business owners comes from watching my parents run their own business. Their entrepreneurial grit shaped not just how I work but how I see the world. I know firsthand the challenges—and freedoms—that come with building something of your own.

Over time, I’ve learned that the strongest ideas rarely appear first. They emerge when you stay with the thinking process long enough to move past the obvious and uncover something distinctive.

That’s why I don’t just design brands that look good—I create brand identities that work for real businesses. Practical, strategic, and built to support where you’re going next. Because when your brand truly reflects what makes your business different, it becomes a powerful tool for growth.

Big city design, small-town heart.
Rooted in the Midwest, I bring a thoughtful, strategic approach to branding—helping women-led and founder-led businesses from Chicago and beyond create polished, cohesive brands that work in the real world.

Fast facts about me

Go-to design tool→ Pencil and paper—because the best ideas start with a good sketch.

Most-used phraseā†’ā€œLet’s make it clean.ā€ (Design, kitchen counters, inbox—you name it.)

Best client compliment→ ā€œYou GET me!ā€ (The gold standard, really.)

Secret superpower→Getting a healthy, homemade meal on the table in under 45 minutes—between kid activities, work deadlines, and the occasional dog-related chaos. Results may vary.
